Align Athlete
Align your body to achieve your potential.
We help athletes fix their own body misalignments, so they can perform at their highest levels and reduce their risk of getting hurt.
Why is Alignment Important?
Your glutes work about as well as this light after you’ve been sitting for an hour of more. Our modern lives with too much sitting and looking down at our devices compromise how well our bodies work. Alignment is just as important as a warmup before you work out, run or compete. Without a proper body alignment, you risk not performing your best and injuring yourself.
What does it mean to align?
We know to warm up our muscles before exercise, but most people don’t know to condition their joints. Any joint that is “stuck” is compromising your nerves and/or your muscles. A pre-workout alignment unsticks your joints and gets the electricity flowing through your body. You can’t perform your best until every joint is working for you.

Mark Thiesmeyer Hook on How to Align Athlete was Born
Something was getting hurt every year. First it was my lower back with weight lifting. Then I tore my shoulder in a biking accident. When I injured my meniscus (knee cartilage) running, I thought, “This is ridiculous”. Yet, sports are full of injuries. 91% of college athletes get injured despite having great genes and access to the best coaches and athletic trainers.
I was already an exercise trainer with a master’s degree in exercise science. I owned a personal training company and I had access to hundreds of athletic people. I figured that with enough testing I could figure out why people keep getting injured. So, I spent 9 years doing thousands of hours of testing with every client who came to us for exercise training. What did I find? Of the 36 things that can go wrong with alignment, most of us have similar misalignment patterns – a “long” left leg, a rotated pelvis and a twisted lower back. Fixing these 3 things have helped me avoid reinjuring my knee and lower back.
For me, fixing my body alignment was the missing key to preventing sports injuries.
